Beginning the conversation
Every project begins with a conversation.
We start with a complimentary discovery call to understand your project, your goals and whether our studio is the right fit. This initial discussion ensures clarity around scope, timing and expectations before moving forward.
If aligned, we then arrange an initial consultation to explore your home in more detail and discuss how Studio Black Interiors can best support your project.
Design development
Once engaged, the design process unfolds in clearly defined stages.
The early phase focuses on shaping the overall vision for your home. This includes understanding how you live, refining layouts where required and establishing a clear design direction that will guide all decisions that follow.
From there, the design is developed through carefully considered selections, custom joinery design and material palettes. Each element is reviewed in relation to the whole, ensuring the home feels balanced, cohesive and resolved.
Specification and documentation
With the design direction established, the focus moves to refinement and detail.
Finishes, fixtures, lighting and materials are finalised with longevity and functionality in mind. Comprehensive documentation is prepared to support accurate pricing and a smooth construction process, reducing uncertainty and minimising the need for on-site decisions.
This stage is about precision, clarity and protecting the integrity of the design.
Design management during construction
During construction, Studio Black Interiors provides ongoing design support, working closely with your builder and trades as required.
This involvement ensures the design intent is carried through as planned and provides reassurance during a stage that can otherwise feel complex. Clients appreciate having a consistent point of guidance, ensuring decisions remain aligned from start to finish.
